Q1. Who are we? We are a third-generation family business established in 2007, with family roots in the herb trade going back to 1960. We process our products in two facilities: manual processing for delicate products and mechanized sorting and processing.

Q2. What is the difference between German and Roman chamomile? German chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) is the one used in tea and most extractions — an annual, with hollow flower heads and higher chamazulene. Roman chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) is a perennial with a different, slightly more bitter profile, used mainly in aromatherapy. Egyptian chamomile is German chamomile. They are not substitutable.

Q3. What does chamomile cost per Metric Ton? It depends on grade more than anything else — destemmed whole flower and with-stem material are priced quite differently, and the crop year moves the market. Send us your grade and volume, and we will quote; we will also tell you if an offer you are comparing against is a different specification.

Q4. Is Egyptian chamomile better than other origins? Egypt is one of the established origins for German chamomile, alongside others. Egyptian material is generally valued for colour and essential oil content from the dry-climate harvest. The more useful question is grade and lot data rather than origin alone — we supply both so you can compare directly.

Q5. How do you keep fines low? Gentle hand sieving instead of mechanical agitation, and cartons rather than bags for whole flower. Chamomile heads break easily, and most fines are created by handling after drying rather than by the crop itself.

Q6. What forms do you supply? Whole flower heads, flower with stem, TBC, and powder milled to your specification. Powder is produced close to the dispatch date since ground material loses aroma faster than whole flower.
