When was EIC for Export founded?
→ EIC for Export was officially established in 2007, building on decades of family experience that started in 1960.
What is the story behind EIC for Export?
→ Our journey began with our grandfather in 1960, when he started trading and hand-cleaning herbs and legumes using simple sieves. Over the decades, this tradition of honesty and dedication has been passed down through generations. In 2007, EIC for Export was officially founded to carry this heritage forward with modern machinery, global standards, and the same family values — delivering trusted Egyptian herbs, spices, legumes, and seeds to 21 countries worldwide
What makes your company different from trading companies?
→ We are manufacturers and exporters, not middlemen. Owning our factory in Fayoum gives us control over cleaning, processing, and quality — ensuring better pricing and consistent supply
Where is your company located?
• Office: 135 F Pyramids Garden, Pyramids City, Giza, Egypt • Factory: Fayoum, Ibshway, Abo Gensho
Which countries do you export to?
→ We proudly export to 21 countries worldwide, including markets in N. America, S. America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Do you accept long-term supply agreements?
→ Absolutely. We welcome annual contracts to secure both pricing and quantities for our clients.
Can we visit your factory?
→ Absolutely. We welcome our partners to visit our NFSA-registered facility in Fayoum, Egypt to see our production process first-hand.
Do you handle seasonal products?.
→ Yes. Some products, like curly Parsley or Dill, Sun dried Tomatoes, are seasonal. We recommend pre-booking to secure the required quantities.
What products do you export?
→ At EIC for Export, we proudly supply more than 55 products — from Egyptian herbs, spices, seeds, and legumes, all grown through conventional cultivation. But our story doesn’t stop there. With Egypt’s fertile land and the Nile’s blessing, we continue to expand our product range year after year, adding items such as Egyptian natural Loofah, Egyptian flour, natural loofah, pure honey, palm pollen, and other unique agricultural treasures.
What makes your Egyptian products unique compared to other origins?
→ Egypt is known for its fertile soil and the River Nile, which the ancient historian Herodotus famously described as “the gift of the Nile.” This natural abundance, combined with a favorable climate, allows us to cultivate a wide variety of crops throughout the year. As a result, most of our products are available almost year-round, with consistent quality and competitive prices. In addition, our family’s trade expertise since 1960 has helped us build strong relationships with importers worldwide, making Egyptian herbs, spices, seeds, and legumes highly trusted in global markets
Do you export organic products?
→ No. We only produce and export conventional products that meet international standards and EU pesticide limits.
Do you support contractual farming?
→ Yes. We collaborate with trusted farms under contractual farming to secure consistent supply with pesticide levels that meet specific international regulations when required.
How do you process Egyptian white kidney beans?
→ Our dried white beans are processed using advanced Sortex color-sorting machines, which ensure that only perfectly white beans are selected. This technology removes any discolored or defective grains, guaranteeing a uniform, high-quality product. After sorting, the beans are carefully packed in safe export-grade bags, ensuring they remain clean, protected, and ready for international shipment.
How do you ensure product quality?
→ We follow the highest quality control standards throughout production, strictly in line with NFSA and HACCP regulations.
From sourcing to packaging, every step is carefully monitored. Transparency is our core value — we never exaggerate specifications, and we maintain consistent quality that our clients can rely on.
Can the final product price be reduced?
→ Yes. We can lower the final cost without compromising quality by adjusting the ratio between the main part and stems of the same crop. For example, some clients prefer 60% leaves to 40% stems, or even 50% to 50%, depending on their market needs. This method keeps the authenticity of the product while making it more cost-effective — a practice already applied with many of our partners worldwide.
Do you support mixed containers (different products in one shipment)?
→ Yes. Customers can order a variety of herbs, legumes, seeds, or spices in the same container, tailored to their needs.
Can a third-party inspection company (such as SGS) check the quality?
→ Yes, of course. We can arrange for international inspection companies like SGS to verify the quality before shipment. The cost of this service is covered by the client. However, many of our long-term partners chose to stop using third-party inspections after the first shipments, as their trust in our products and consistency grew stronger with time.
Do you produce manually or with machines?
→ At EIC for Export, we proudly combine heritage craftsmanship with modern technology.
• We maintain a dedicated hand-processing unit for delicate manual selection, achieving purity levels of no less than 98%, as well a hand sorting for some products.
• Alongside this, we operate a machine-based production line for seeds and leafy crops, ensuring high-speed processing with up to 99% precision.
Can you supply steam-sterilized or heat-treated products?
→ As the manufacturer, we handle all production processes in our own facilities. Upon request, we also provide sterilization services through specialized and certified Egyptian factories, ensuring full compliance with EU and US microbiological standards. → We offer *dry heat treatment* for customers who require thermal microbial reduction without steam. → We offer *steam sterilization* using saturated steam under controlled temperature and pressure for high-level microbiological control.
Are your products certified?
→ Yes. Our factory is officially registered with the Egyptian Food Safety Authority (NFSA) June 2025, and we manufacture in accordance with NFSA and HACCP standards. We also maintain international registrations/certifications including FDA, MFDS Korea, and ISO 9001.
Do you provide pesticide or microbiological analysis reports?
→ Yes. Upon request, we can provide accredited laboratory tests, including EU-standard pesticide residue analysis, microbiological reports, and aflatoxin tests. This ensures full compliance with strict international regulations. Please note that such analyses are conducted only for products grown under pre-arranged contract farming, covering selected crops such as chamomile, molokhia, dill, parsley, coriander, hibiscus, and others.
How to dry herbs in bulk?
→ In Egypt, farmers dry herbs naturally in the open air, always in the shade, to preserve their properties, strong aroma, and natural color.
How long do bulk herbs last?
→ When stored in sacks placed on pallets, kept in shaded, well-ventilated areas away from direct sunlight and moisture, bulk herbs can maintain their quality and natural properties for 2 to 3 years.
What is a bulk herb?
→ Bulk herbs are dried leaves, flowers, seeds, or roots supplied in large quantities, usually in packs or cartons, making them cost-effective and ideal for trade and manufacturing.
When is the harvest season for Egyptian white kidney beans?
→ Egypt has two harvests: a winter crop in late November to early December and a summer crop in May. Both quality and availability are at their best during harvest time.
When are sun-dried tomatoes available for export?
→ Egypt is unique in producing sun-dried tomatoes during the peak of winter. However, they are only produced under pre-arranged contracts and not available without prior booking.
How do we protect products from humidity and insects?
→ Products are stored in clean, dry warehouses. Containers are swept, lined with plastic sheets, fitted with silica gel, and professionally fumigated to prevent insects and moisture damage.
What packaging options do you provide?
→ We offer 25 kg, 20 kg, and 50 kg bags, 12.5 kg cartons, pallets, or customized private-label packaging with the client’s brand (for B2B not B2C).
What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
→ MOQ depends on the product, but generally 20 ft container loads (about 24 MT for legumes or beans). Smaller LCL orders are possible but they come at a higher cost.
How long does it take to prepare an order for shipment?
→ On average, preparation takes 2 weeks depending on the product type and quantity.
What shipping methods do you use?
→ We mainly export via sea containers, but air freight is available for smaller quantities if needed.
Do you ship only FOB, or can you also deliver directly to our ports CFR?
→ We provide reliable logistics support through our trusted shipping partner, negotiating directly with major lines to secure the lowest rates and shortest transit times.
What shipping documents do you provide?
→ We provide all standard documents: Phytosanitary Certificate, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Fumigation Certificate (if required), Insurance Policy (if required), and Container Images. Additional documents available on request.
What are your payment terms?
→ We usually work with advance payment and the balance against shipping documents. However, for trusted long-term partners, we can consider flexible arrangements depending on order volume and relationship history.
Do you provide product samples before placing an order?
→ Yes, we can provide samples so you can verify the quality before confirming bulk orders. Costs include:
• From our side: sample cost + official Phytosanitary Certificate.
• From the client’s side: courier/shipping cost.
This ensures every sample reflects the same certified quality you will receive in bulk.
