Introduction
Source your next container of bulk cumin directly from Egypt — available as Whole Green Cumin Seeds or Cumin Powder, processed to meet your exact specifications for spice grinding, food manufacturing, or seasoning blend production.
For spice blenders and food manufacturers, the finished product is only as good as the raw material behind it. Egypt’s arid climate and mineral-rich Nile Valley soil produce cumin with notably high volatile oil content — which is what carries flavour through cooking, retorting, and long shelf lives. We select crops for oil percentage rather than appearance alone, which means more potent flavour per metric ton and less raw material needed per blend.
Every lot is destoned, magnet-screened, and Sortex-graded before shipment. Pesticide residue testing is not available, according to the requirements of the destination country.

Available Forms
Choose the form that best matches your processing requirements:
Whole Green Cumin Seeds — 95–99% Purity: Carefully cleaned and graded for different food and spice applications, with higher-purity grades suited to premium spice products and standard grades suitable for grinding, blending, and industrial food processing. Available according to the buyer’s required specification.
Ground Cumin Powder — fine-mesh bulk cumin powder, milled to order and packed immediately before shipping so the volatile oils stay locked in rather than dissipating in storage. Mesh size adjusted to your blending specification.
EIC for export Quality & Certifications
We stand behind the quality of our cumin seeds because we build long-term supply partnerships.
For independent verification, we accept third-party inspection by SGS or another inspection company of your choice, at the buyer’s expense.
Our certificates and registrations include:
- NFSA registered with the Egyptian Food Safety Authority
- ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 certified for quality and food safety management
- HACCP applied through cleaning and packing
- FDA, DUNS, GACC (China), and MFDS (Korea) registered
These certificates and registrations support your import and compliance requirements.

Beyond certificates, we rely on our family experience and reputation. Our roots in the herb trade go back to 1960, beginning with our grandfather. We protect that reputation with every shipment and seek lasting relationships with importers.

- Certificate of Origin (COO)
- Official Phytosanitary Certificate
- Bill of Lading (BL)
- Fumigation Certificate when required
- War Risk Insurance policy for 40′ containers, covered by EIC
Silica gel is placed inside the container to help control humidity and protect the quality of the bulk cumin during transit.
Packaging, Shelf Life & Storage
Packing Configurations:
- 25 kg Polypropylene (PP) bags for standard bulk packing
- 25 kg Multi-wall paper bags for added protection during handling and transit
- 50 lb bags for the North American market
- Customized B2B packing available on request
Shelf Life: Up to 24 months for whole seed when stored under recommended conditions. Ground cumin powder is best used within 12 months, as the volatile oil dissipates faster from milled material.
Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry environment below 25°C, protected from direct sunlight and humidity. Low humidity is what protects the volatile oil content.
Supply Capacity & What Affects Cumin Price
Supply Capacity:
- MOQ: 1 × 20′ FCL, 12-13 metric tons
- Monthly capacity of 100+ metric tons
- Regular monthly shipping availability
- Contract-based programs for continuous annual-volume supply
- Consolidation available — cumin can ship alongside coriander, fennel, anise, or other spices in one container
What Affects Cumin Price:
- Purity grade — 99% Sortex, 97%, and 95% grades are priced separately. Compare quotes on the same grade rather than the headline figure.
- Product form and processing requirements — whole seed versus milled
- Order volume
- Packaging configuration
- Timing of the order relative to the harvest season
- Global crop conditions — cumin is a globally traded spice, and the market moves with Indian and regional harvests, so quoting against last season’s price is rarely accurate
Because cumin price varies according to these factors, we quote each shipment individually rather than publish a fixed rate. For better planning, check our Egyptian Herbs, Spices, Seeds & Legumes harvest calendar to understand seasonal timing. Send us your specifications and destination port for an accurate quotation within 24 hours.

FAQs
Q1. Who are we? We are a third-generation family business established in 2007, with family roots in the herb trade going back to 1960. We process our products in two facilities: manual processing for delicate products and mechanized sorting and processing.
Q2. What are green cumin seeds, and how do they differ from black cumin? Green cumin seeds are the standard Cuminum cyminum seed with its characteristic pale green-brown colour — the variety grown in Egypt and used in most commercial spice blends. It is distinct from black cumin (Bunium persicum) and from nigella (Nigella sativa), which is a different plant entirely and which we supply separately.
Q3. Which purity grade should I order? 99% Sortex, where the seed goes into a visible or premium product and stone or off-colour seed cannot reach your mill. 98% is the standard export grade for most grinding lines. 95% suits industrial processing and extraction where the material is milled anyway. Tell us the application, and we will recommend rather than sell you a grade you do not need.
Q4. Do you supply ground cumin powder or only whole seeds? Both. Powder is milled to your mesh specification shortly before shipping so the aroma is not lost during storage. If you have grinding capacity, whole seed is usually the better purchase for aroma retention.
Q5. What is the MOQ? One 20′ FCL, 12-13 metric tons. Smaller trial volumes can sometimes be consolidated with other products in a shared container.
Q6. What is the shelf life? 24 months from harvest for whole seed stored below 25°C in dry conditions. Ground cumin powder is best used within 12 months.
Q7. How can I verify and follow my order before shipment? You can verify your Cumin seed or Cumin powder order through a factory visit, video verification, or a third-party inspection, such as SGS, at the buyer’s expense. You can also follow your shipment through our export process. Learn more about our Process
Q8. Do you seek long-term relationships with buyers? Yes. We serve customers across 21 countries spanning the Americas, Africa, Europe, Asia, the Gulf region, and Australia. We want every first shipment, and every shipment that follows, to strengthen trust and build a lasting partnership.
Q9. Do you supply the local market? No. We supply export markets only.
