Introduction

Source your next container of dried celery leaves directly from Egypt — available as Flakes 2–4 mm, Flakes 4–6 mm, Cut Leaf or Powder, processed to meet your exact specifications for bouillon, instant soup, seasoning blends, or ready-meal manufacture.

Celery has been part of Egypt’s botanical history for thousands of years, with archaeological evidence linking it to ancient Egyptian sites and traditional uses. Our family’s work with herbs dates back to 1960 through our grandfather, and dried celery has naturally been part of this long-standing experience with Egyptian herbs. Today, we focus on quality and manufacture dried celery according to customer specifications and EU requirements. Egyptian dried celery is in strong demand for food manufacturing and seasoning applications.

Available Forms

Choose the form that best matches your processing requirements:

Celery Flakes 2–4 mm — the finer flake, for instant soups, bouillon cubes, and seasoning blends where the particle disperses.

Celery Flakes 4–6 mm — more visible leaf, for garnish applications, broths, and premium soup mixes where the customer should see the vegetable.

Cut Leaf — larger cut for specific industrial applications and infusion.

Celery Powder — fine mesh for flavour bases, seasoning blends, dry rubs and savoury coatings.

Quality & Certifications

We stand behind the quality of our dried celery because we build long-term supply partnerships.

For independent verification, we accept third-party inspection by SGS or another inspection company of your choice, at the buyer’s expense.

EIC for export certificates and registrations includes:

  • NFSA registered with the Egyptian Food Safety Authority
  • ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 certified for quality and food safety management
  • HACCP certified
  • FDA, DUNS, GACC (China), and MFDS (Korea) registered

Learn more about our certificates and registrations that support your import and compliance requirements.

Beyond certificates, we rely on our family experience and reputation. Our roots in the herb trade go back to 1960, beginning with our grandfather. We protect that reputation with every shipment and seek lasting relationships with importers.

Shipping, Export Coordination & Documentation

Shipping & Logistics:

  • FOB, CFR, and CIF Incoterms, with loading from Port Said, Alexandria, Damietta, and Sokhna ports
  • Cost-effective shipping arrangements through our freight partners

Export Documentation:

  • Commercial Invoice
  • Packing List
  • Certificate of Origin (COO)
  • Official Phytosanitary Certificate
  • Bill of Lading (BL)
  • Pesticide residue analysis when required by the destination country
  • Fumigation Certificate when required
  • War Risk Insurance for 40′ containers, covered by EIC

Silica gel is placed inside the container to help control humidity and protect the quality of the dehydrated celery during transit.

Packaging, Shelf Life & Storage

Packing Configurations:

  • 20 kg Polypropylene (PP) bags or kraft paper bags — suitable for powder
  • Customized B2B packing available on request

Shelf Life: Up to 24 months when stored under recommended conditions.

Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry environment below 20°C, protected from direct sunlight and humidity. Light fades the green colour, and humidity causes clumping, so storage conditions matter more than the calendar date.

Supply Capacity & What Affects Dried Celery Price

Supply Capacity:

  • MOQ: 1 × 20′ FCL, 6 metric tons. Dried leaf has very low bulk density, so a container fills by volume well before weight.
  • Regular monthly shipping availability
  • Contract-based programs for continuous annual-volume supply
  • Consolidation available — celery can ship alongside other dehydrated vegetables and leaf herbs in one container

What Affects Dried Celery Price:

  • Crop year — The price of dried Celery depends on the crop year; older crops are priced lower due to reduced quality.
  • Stem content — woody stem dilutes flavour per MT, so low-stem grades cost more to produce
  • Flake size and particle consistency — finer grades require additional sieving
  • Product form — flakes, cut leaf or powder
  • Packaging configuration — Kraft paper bags cost more than PP bags.
  • Order volume
  • Timing of the order relative to the harvest season

Because dried celery prices vary based on these factors, we quote each shipment individually rather than publish a fixed rate. For better planning, check our Egyptian Herbs, Spices, Seeds & Legumes Harvest Calendar to understand seasonal timing. Send us your specifications and destination port for an accurate quotation within 24 hours.

FAQs

Q1. Who are we? We are a third-generation family business established in 2007, with family roots in the herb trade going back to 1960. We process our products in two facilities: manual processing for delicate products and mechanized sorting and processing.

Q2. Is celery an allergen? Yes. Celery is one of the 14 named allergens under EU Regulation 1169/2011 and must be declared on labelling in the EU and UK. We supply allergen documentation with every shipment. It is not a top-9 allergen under US FDA rules, but EU-bound product must be declared.

Q3. What is the difference between dried celery leaf and dehydrated celery flakes? Terminology varies by market. We supply dried celery leaf, flaked to 2–4 mm or 4–6 mm — strong aroma, deep green. “Dehydrated celery flakes” sometimes refers to cross-cut stalk, which is paler and more fibrous with less aroma. If you are comparing quotes, check which one you are being offered — the price difference usually reflects a different product rather than a better deal.

Q4. Which flake size should I order? 2–4 mm for instant soups, bouillon, and blends where the particle should disperse. 4–6 mm where visible leaf is wanted in the finished product. Powder for flavour bases and coatings. Send a sample of what you currently use if that is easier than specifying.

Q5. Do you provide pesticide testing? We test every raw material of the Dried Celery lot to ensure compliance with EU pesticide residue limits before processing begins.

Q6. What is the MOQ? One 20′ FCL, 6 metric tons. Dried celery leaf has very low bulk density, so a container reaches its volume limit long before its weight limit. That is normal for dehydrated leaf, and it affects your landed cost per kilo, so packing format is worth discussing.

Q7. How can I verify and follow my order before shipment? You can verify your order through a factory visit, video verification, or third-party inspection such as SGS at the buyer’s expense. You can also follow your shipment through our export process. Learn more about our Process.

Q8. Do you seek long-term relationships with buyers? Yes. We serve customers across 21 countries spanning the Americas, Africa, Europe, Asia, the Gulf region, and Australia. We want every first shipment, and every shipment that follows, to strengthen trust and build a lasting partnership.

Q9. Do you supply the local market? No. We supply export markets only.
