Introduction
Source your next container of fenugreek seeds directly from Egypt — available as Sortex quality or machine-cleaned, whole or powdered, processed to meet your exact specifications for spice grinding, extraction, or nutraceutical use.
Fenugreek is bought for two entirely different reasons, and the grade you need depends on which applies to you.
Spice grinders want sotolon — the compound behind the maple-syrup aroma that makes fenugreek indispensable in curry powder. Sotolon concentration is set at harvest: cut too early and the seed is thin and flat-tasting.
Extract manufacturers want galactomannan and diosgenin, and for them the purchase is about consistency of active content rather than aroma.
Our family has been involved in the trade and processing of Egyptian herbs and fenugreek for generations, with experience in both commerce and manufacturing rather than cultivation.
Our fenugreek is conventionally cultivated, not organically grown, and processed to meet the specifications of international buyers.

Available Forms
Choose the grade and form that best match your application:
Sortex Quality — 99.9% purity — optically sorted to the highest cleanliness. For spice grinding lines, food manufacturers, and any application where the seed goes into a visible or premium product. This is the grade for buyers who cannot tolerate stone or off-colour seed reaching the mill.
Machine Cleaned — 97–98% purity — destoned, gravity-separated, and screened, without the optical sorting pass. For extraction and industrial processing where the material is milled and processed anyway, and the cost difference per ton is meaningful at volume.
Fenugreek Powder — milled to your mesh specification. Fenugreek is dense and hard, and grinding generates heat that drives off sotolon, so we mill close to the dispatch date with temperature control. If you have milling capacity, whole seed is generally the better purchase for aroma retention.
Tell us the end application, and we will tell you which grade you actually need — there is no value in selling you Sortex material for a process that does not require it.
Quality & Certifications
We stand behind the quality of our fenugreek seeds because we build long-term supply partnerships.
For independent verification, we accept third-party inspection by SGS or another inspection company of your choice, at the buyer’s expense.
Our certificates and registrations include:
- NFSA registered with the Egyptian Food Safety Authority
- ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 certified for quality and food safety management
- FDA, DUNS, GACC (China), and MFDS (Korea) registered
View our certificates and registrations for support with import compliance.
Beyond certificates, we rely on our family experience and reputation. Our roots in the herb trade go back to 1960, beginning with our grandfather. We protect that reputation with every shipment and seek lasting relationships with importers.
Shipping, Export Coordination & Documentation
Shipping & Logistics:
- FOB, CFR, and CIF Incoterms, with loading from Port Said, Alexandria, Damietta, and Sokhna ports
- Cost-effective shipping arrangements through our freight partners
Export Documentation:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Certificate of Origin (COO)
- Official Phytosanitary Certificate
- Bill of Lading (BL)
- Fumigation Certificate — important for whole seed, where insect risk is higher than for milled product
- War Risk Insurance for 40′ containers, covered by EIC
Silica gel is placed inside the container to help control humidity and protect the quality of the fenugreek seeds during transit.
Packaging, Shelf Life & Storage
Packing Configurations:
- 25 kg Polypropylene (PP) bags for standard bulk packing
- 25 kg paper bags for added protection during handling and transit
- Customized B2B packing available on request
Shelf Life: Up to 24 months for whole seed when stored under recommended conditions. Fenugreek powder is best used within 12 months, as sotolon dissipates faster from ground material.
Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry environment, protected from direct sunlight and humidity.
Supply Capacity & What Affects Fenugreek Price
Supply Capacity:
- MOQ: 1 × 20′ FCL, 23 metric tons. Fenugreek is dense, so containers reach weight capacity rather than filling by volume — unlike the leaf products in our range.
- Regular monthly shipping availability
- Contract-based programs for continuous annual-volume supply
What Affects Fenugreek Price:
- Cleaning grade — Sortex 99.9% and machine-cleaned 97–98% are different products at meaningfully different costs per ton. Make sure competing quotes are the same grade.
- Product form — whole seed or milled
- Order volume and packaging configuration
- Timing of the order relative to the harvest season
Because fenugreek prices vary based on these factors, we quote each shipment individually rather than publish a fixed rate. For better planning, check our Egyptian Herbs, Spices, Seeds & Legumes Harvest Calendar to understand seasonal timing. Send us your specifications and destination port for an accurate quotation within 24 hours.

FAQs
Q1. Who are we? We are a third-generation family business established in 2007, with family roots in the herb trade going back to 1960. We process our products in two facilities: manual processing for delicate products and mechanized sorting and processing.
Q2. What is the difference between Sortex and machine-cleaned fenugreek? Sortex quality is optically sorted to 99.9% purity — for spice grinders and food manufacturers who cannot risk stone or off-colour seed reaching the mill. Machine-cleaned is destoned, gravity-separated, and screened to 97–98%, which is usually sufficient for extraction and industrial processing at a meaningfully lower cost per ton.
Q3. Should I buy whole seed or fenugreek powder? Whole, if you have milling capacity. Fenugreek is hard and dense, and grinding generates heat that drives off sotolon — the maple aroma compound. We mill to order with temperature control for buyers without a grinding line.
Q4. What gives fenugreek its maple smell? Sotolon, a volatile compound that develops as the seed matures. It is why fenugreek is used in imitation maple flavouring, and why harvest timing matters — under-mature seed is noticeably flatter.
Q5. Why is the container tonnage higher than your other products? Fenugreek is dense, so a 20′ container reaches its weight limit at 24 MT. Leaf products like basil or chamomile fill by volume at a fraction of that, which is why their MOQs look so much smaller.
Q6. Do you seek long-term relationships with buyers? Yes. We serve customers across 21 countries spanning the Americas, Africa, Europe, Asia, the Gulf region, and Australia. We want every first shipment, and every shipment that follows, to strengthen trust and build a lasting partnership.
Q7. How can I verify and follow my order before shipment? You can verify your order through a factory visit, video verification, or third-party inspection such as SGS at the buyer’s expense. You can also follow your shipment through our export process. Explore Our Process
Q8. Do you supply the local market? No. We supply export markets only.
