Introduction
Source your next container of bulk flax seed directly from Egypt — available as Whole Brown Flax or Ground Flaxseed, processed to meet your exact specifications for cold-press oil production, industrial bakery, feed, or technical use.
Flax is bought on two numbers: oil content and moisture. Everything else follows from them.
Oil content determines a crusher’s yield per ton, and it is set at harvest — seed cut before full maturity carries measurably less. Moisture determines whether the seed arrives sound: flax oil is highly unsaturated and goes rancid readily, so a lot shipped above spec can develop rancidity or fungal growth in transit and be rejected at the destination port. That is the most common way a flax container fails, and it is entirely preventable.
We harvest for maturity and hold moisture at 9% maximum, below the general trade norm, specifically because our containers cross the Mediterranean and Atlantic. Every lot is Sortex-cleaned to 99–99.9%, since weed seed admixture is the other common rejection cause in flax.

Available Forms
Choose the form that best matches your processing requirements:
Whole Brown Flax Seed — glossy, smooth, flat oval seed at 99–99.9% Sortex purity and 9% maximum moisture. The standard format for cold-press oil producers, bakeries, and feed manufacturers buying flaxseed in bulk for their own processing.
Ground Flaxseed — milled whole seed, to your mesh specification. Ground flax oxidises quickly, since the polyunsaturated oil is exposed the moment the seed coat is broken, so we mill close to dispatch and recommend planning short storage rather than holding ground stock.
Terminology note, because it causes ordering errors: ground flaxseed is the whole seed milled, with the oil still in it. Flaxseed meal usually refers to the press cake remaining after oil extraction, with most of the oil removed — a different product at a different price, mainly for feed.
Quality & Certifications
We stand behind the quality of our flax seed because we build long-term supply partnerships.
For independent verification, we accept third-party inspection by SGS or another inspection company of your choice, at the buyer’s expense. We welcome it on any container.
Our certificates and registrations include:
- NFSA registered with the Egyptian Food Safety Authority
- ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 certified for quality and food safety management
- FDA, DUNS, GACC (China), and MFDS (Korea) registered
View our certificates and registrations for support with import compliance.
Beyond certificates, we rely on our family experience and reputation. Our roots in the herb trade go back to 1960, beginning with our grandfather. We protect that reputation with every shipment and seek lasting relationships with importers.
Shipping, Export Coordination & Documentation
Shipping & Logistics:
- FOB, CFR, and CIF Incoterms, with loading from Port Said, Alexandria, Damietta, and Sokhna ports
- Cost-effective shipping arrangements through our freight partners
Export Documentation:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Certificate of Origin (COO)
- Official Phytosanitary Certificate
- Bill of Lading (BL)
- Fumigation Certificate when required
- War Risk Insurance for 40′ containers, covered by EIC
Silica gel is placed inside the container to help control humidity and protect the quality of the bulk flax seed during transit.
Packaging, Shelf Life & Storage
Packing Configurations:
- 25 kg / 50 kg Polypropylene (PP) bags for standard bulk packing
- 25 kg Multi-wall paper bags for added protection during handling and transit
- Customized B2B packing available on request
Shelf Life: Up to 24 months for whole seed when stored under recommended conditions. Ground flaxseed has a considerably shorter usable life and should be planned for short storage.
Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry environment below 20°C, protected from direct sunlight and humidity.
Supply Capacity & What Affects Flax Seed Price
Supply Capacity:
- MOQ: 1 × 20′ FCL, 22 metric tons. Flax is dense, so containers reach weight capacity rather than filling by volume.
- Regular monthly shipping availability
- Contract-based programs for continuous annual-volume supply
What Affects Flax Seed Price:
- Purity grade — Sortex sorting to 99-99.9% costs more to produce than standard cleaning
- Product form — whole seed or milled
- Order volume and packaging configuration — jumbo bags price differently from 25 kg sacks
- Timing of the order relative to the harvest season
Because flax seed price varies according to these factors, we quote each shipment individually rather than publish a fixed rate. For better planning, check our Egyptian Herbs, Spices, Seeds & Legumes Harvest Calendar to understand seasonal timing. Send us your specifications and destination port for an accurate quotation within 24 hours.

FAQs
Q1. Who are we? We are a third-generation family business established in 2007, with family roots in the herb trade going back to 1960. We process our products in two facilities: manual processing for delicate products and mechanized sorting and processing.
Q2. What is the difference between flaxseed and linseed? Nothing — Flaxseed and linseed refer to the same plant and seed, Linum usitatissimum L. The term ‘flaxseed’ is more common in food and human consumption, while ‘linseed’ is widely used in oil pressing, feed, and industrial applications.
Q3. Do you supply brown or golden flax? Brown flax is the standard commercial variety used in oil pressing, bakery, and feed. Golden flax is a different variety, lighter and milder, generally chosen where appearance matters in a retail product.
Q4. What is the difference between ground flaxseed and flaxseed meal? Ground flaxseed is whole seed milled with the oil still in it. Flaxseed meal generally refers to the press cake left after oil extraction, with most of the oil removed — a different product at a different price. Worth confirming which you mean when ordering, as the terms get used loosely.
Q5. Why does moisture matter so much for flax? Flax oil is highly unsaturated and prone to rancidity, while high-moisture seed can also develop fungal growth during transit. We keep moisture at a maximum of 9% and place silica gel inside the container to help control humidity throughout the journey and protect the seed quality.
Q6. Do you seek long-term relationships with buyers? Yes. We serve customers across 21 countries spanning the Americas, Africa, Europe, Asia, the Gulf region, and Australia. We want every first shipment, and every shipment that follows, to strengthen trust and build a lasting partnership.
Q7. How can I verify and follow my order before shipment? You can verify your order through a factory visit, video verification, or third-party inspection such as SGS at the buyer’s expense. You can also follow your shipment through our export process. Explore Our Process
Q8. Do you supply the local market? No. We supply export markets only.
